Cyborg R.A.T 9 | Review

Cyborg R.A.T 9 | Review Gaming mice designs often make people’s jaws drop, but there’s no mouse, which does that job better than the Cyborg R.A.T. 9 gaming mouse. The R.A.T.9  looks like it came out of a Transformers movie and there’s no better way to get people’s attention at a LAN party. It’s not just the looks - it’s practical, highly customizable and it’s got some pretty impressive hardware as well. Design and build quality The R.A.T.9 looks very impressive - it’s got a solid metal base at the bottom. There are layers of plastic and metal dials and springs above that build up the shape of the mouse. The R.A.T. 9 has a matte finish across the device, including the thumb rest, buttons and the palm rest towards the back. The R.A.T. 9 appears to be designed to be customizable, so there are panels that can be removed, replaced and adjusted to your liking. Without this done, it feels little awkward with all the gaps in betw

Nintendo Wii U | Launched At E3 2012

Nintendo Wii U | Launched At E3 2012 It was just yesterday that Nintendo unveiled the Wii U Gamepad, but today is the big announcement. Everybody welcome the Wii U. The new console, coupled with the Gamepad, will change gaming entirely, according to Nintendo: “at its core, Wii U changes gaming, how you interact with your gaming friends, and it changes the way you enjoy your TV.” That means Netflix and Hulu and Amazon Video and YouTube, along with the brand new form of gaming brought about by the marriage of the Wii U and the Gamepad. The Gamepad sports a pressure-sensitive touchscreen along with traditional buttons and directional pad. Nintendo also packed an NFC reader/writer and a gyroscope/accelerometer. The Wii U will support two different Gamepads. The new controller will allow for viewing multiple screens (one on the TV of course, and one on your Wii U Gamepad), which the company showed off at their keynote this morning at E3. For example, in PikMin3, th

Halo 4 - New Gameplay

Halo 4 - New Gameplay 4:46 PM    Games $ Consoles ,  News    No comments The next generation of Halo is upon us. It wouldn’t be all that unfair to have been nervous about the future of Halo after it was announced that Bungie had gone walkies and left the keys to the kingdom in the hands of a developer that didn’t exist four years ago. But after seeing Halo 4 in all its glory, there is a very good argument to be made that Microsoft’s flagship series is in better hands than ever before.  The thing to remember about 343 Industries is that it is made up of developers that were already passionate about Halo. In fact, you could argue that 343 is made up of the most hardcore Halo developers, those that decided to stick with the franchise even after Bungie announced that it was done with the series. Following that logic, this could actually be the ultimate Halo game to date. We were given a substantial look at the gameplay of Halo 4 on Monday at the Microsoft press confer

Epic’s Unreal Engine 4 -generation of games with awesome graphics

Epic’s Unreal Engine 4 -generation of games with awesome graphics Epic Games is formally announcing its Unreal Engine 4 technology today after the close of the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), the game industry’s big trade show. Word about the new engine, which is the foundation for the next decade of graphics technology in video games, leaked out earlier in a story by Wired. The new engine is supposed to be a crowing achievement in video game graphics, and it certainly produces amazing images, such as those in this story. The technology could be the foundation for games which run on future high-end personal computers or next-generation consoles, such as those that Microsoft and Sony are expected to launch in the coming years. The previous generation Unreal Engine 3 came out six years ago for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It resulted in a wave of beautiful games across the industry such as Epic’s own Gears of War series. Epic creates its own games
